April 15, 2004 Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, Jerusalem: The Tel-Aviv Cafe Europa program was launched in 2001 as a natural outcome of the Tel Aviv-Los Angeles Partnership. 300 Holocaust survivors meet weekly at two Tel Aviv locations. They have also connected with members at Cafe Europa in Los Angeles through video conferences. A group of survivors from LA has arrived in Israel for special programs with their Tel Aviv counterparts, one of which will be attending tech official Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony at Yad Vashem.
